What we gleaned from Blue posts, Wowhead, and the community this week
Turbulent Timeways rolls into Classic dungeons this week (Deadmines, Zul'Farrak, Dire Maul, Stratholme) — Week 4 of 6. If you haven't started banking weeks toward the Spawn of Vyranoth mount (need any 4 of 6 weekly resets, account-wide), there's still time before the event ends Aug 11 — just fewer weeks of cushion left. Bonus: a new permanent vendor, Xydan in Valdrakken's Bronze Enclave, now sells several former Timeways-exclusive mounts (including a new Liquid Hot Magma Slug) year-round for Timewarped Badges.
Omnium Folio has concluded — the 5-week gated power system wrapped up with this week's reset. If you finished the final chain you picked up a capstone rune and a free house decor. If you were behind, that content is now locked in as-is for the rest of the season.
Decor Duels is going away in Patch 12.1 (the Silvermoon hide-and-seek PvP mode). Blizzard doubled the Illusionary Coin earn rate this week specifically so folks can finish shopping before it's removed — the Magister's Spell Bee Comb mount, a few toys, and a batch of weapon transmogs from the event vendor won't be purchasable once the mode is gone. Housing decor itself stays available afterward through Silvermoon vendors.
PvP tuning pass (Jul 21): Demon Hunter (Devourer/Havoc) and Mistweaver Monk both had survivability/healing dialed back in PvP, while Discipline/Holy Priest and Restoration Shaman got healing buffs. No Warrior changes this week — the Colossus PvP damage-reduction nerf from late June (5%→3%) is still the only open item there. Worth a note for anyone gearing a Mistweaver Monk for PvP: Way of the Crane's damage-to-healing conversion got cut hard (340%→100%) against clumped targets.
No new Trading Post items to report — August's theme leaked as a Western "Showdown" rotation, full list drops around month's end.
Turbulent Timeways rolled into Week 3 this reset, bringing Shadowlands dungeons (De Other Side, Halls of Atonement, Necrotic Wake, Plaguefall, Sanguine Depths, Spires of Ascension) into the Timewalking pool. If you haven't started chasing the Spawn of Vyranoth mount yet, this is basically your last week to start — the Master of the Turbulent Timeways V achievement needs the Mastery of the Timeways buff active during any 4 of the event's 6 weeks, and the event ends August 11. Do 4 Timewalking dungeons on one character this week to get the buff, then just 1 dungeon a week after that to keep it going.
The Omnium Folio hits its fifth and final weekly quest this week — grab your last capstone rune choice before the system locks in for good. If you've been putting it off, now's the time to catch up.
Blizzard also previewed quality-of-life changes coming with the Curse of Ula'tek content update: a one-time free Profession Knowledge reset (once per profession, lets you reassign all spent KP), account-wide auto-loot settings, an option to show map coordinates, and Auction House filters that persist between sessions.
July's Trading Post is in full swing at T&W and the Zen'shiri Trading Post — beyond Chillbot 9000 and Thrillbot 9000, don't forget the free Bilgewater X-TREME mount for filling out your Traveler's Log before the month ends, plus the returning Wailing Banshee's mount and transmog set.
Quiet week for class balance — the July 14 hotfixes were bug/quest/loot fixes only, no Warrior changes. The Colossus PvP damage-reduction nerf from late June is still the only open item on Madmortagan's Arms PvP build.
Darkmoon Faire rolled into town on July 5 and runs through about July 12 — hit the profession dailies on every crafter and ride the carousel for the WHEE! buff while it's up.
Turbulent Timeways moved into Week 2 with the July 7 reset, bringing back six Battle for Azeroth dungeons (Atal'Dazar, Freehold, King's Rest, Shrine of the Storm, Temple of Sethraliss, Waycrest Manor). If you're chasing the Spawn of Vyranoth mount, you need the Mastery of Timeways buff (4 dungeon clears in a week) during any 4 of the event's 6 weekly resets for the Master of the Turbulent Timeways V achievement — no catch-up after the event ends August 11.
The pre-patch story for Curse of Ula'tek (Season 2) is live early. Chapter 1, "Legacy of the Amani," starts in Silvermoon City with Hagar's Invitation — an early quest drops the Dusk Grimlynx mount, and finishing the chapter awards the Akiki pet. Worth doing soon: completing Chapters 1 and 2 will be required to unlock the new Coiled Isle zone once the patch lands.
Omnium Folio hit Week 4 with a bigger power spike than previous weeks — this week's quest rewards a choice of secondary-stat rune instead of flat damage, so it scales with your gear.
No new Warrior changes this week — the July 7 hotfixes were bug fixes only. On the Season 2 front, three returning Mythic+ dungeons are confirmed and getting big reworks in PTR testing: Ruby Life Pools, Temple of Sethraliss, and King's Rest.
This week's pass through Wowhead, Blue Tracker, and the hotfix notes:
We came back from a short break right as Patch 12.0.7 "Revelations" (live Jun 16) settled in, so here's the catch-up:
None of the Season 2 dates are official yet — still community-projected based on Blizzard's usual patch cadence.
