Balance Druid

Overview

Midnight Eclipse Changes:
- Eclipse no longer requires two casts of the opposite filler type to enter
- Eclipse is now a spell: if you cast Wrath → Solar Eclipse; if you cast Starfire → Lunar Eclipse
- Same buffs and properties as before, but entrance is now instant and controlled

March 18, 2026: Significant buffs to Feral Druid (not Balance) announced alongside Season 1 launch.

Hero Talents

Keeper of the Grove (slight AoE edge, burst-focused)
- Turns Balance into a short-cooldown burst-focused spec via Dream Burst and Force of Nature
- Great priority-target damage on many encounters
- Multi-target builds slightly edge out Elune's Chosen in certain AoE scenarios
- Slightly worse pure single-target than Elune's Chosen

Elune's Chosen (slight ST edge, sustained)
- Heavily focuses on Arcane spells and Starfire
- Currently highest simming single-target AND mass multi-target builds
- Lunar Calling removes ability to enter Solar Eclipse — commit to Lunar/Starfire playstyle
- Within 1-2% of Keeper of the Grove in most scenarios — pick based on preference

Both Hero Talents are within 1% of each other with current tuning. Choose based on playstyle preference.

Tier Set — Druid Balance 12.0

Core Mechanics

Astral Power:
- Generated by: Wrath, Starfire, Starsurge, Starfall (in AoE), Moonfire/Sunfire ticks
- Spent by: Starsurge (single target) and Starfall (AoE)
- Never overcap 100 Astral Power — always spend before capping

Eclipse:
- Solar Eclipse: entered by casting Wrath; buffs Wrath and empowers solar spells
- Lunar Eclipse: entered by casting Starfire; buffs Starfire and empowers lunar spells
- Time Eclipse transitions to maximize DoT applications and Starsurge spending

Celestial Alignment / Incarnation:
- Major DPS cooldown; both Eclipses simultaneously active; massive Astral Power generation
- Align with on-use trinkets and Potion of Recklessness

Rotation — Single Target (Keeper of the Grove)

Core Priority:
1. Maintain Moonfire and Sunfire (pandemic rule: refresh at <30% remaining)
2. Starsurge — spend Astral Power; do not cap; higher priority during Eclipse
3. Dream Burst (Keeper) — on cooldown; high Astral Power generator
4. Wrath — primary filler in Solar Eclipse; generator
5. Starfire — primary filler in Lunar Eclipse; generator
6. Force of Nature (Keeper) — on cooldown; summons treants
7. Enter appropriate Eclipse by casting the right filler

Cooldowns:
- Celestial Alignment / Incarnation — on cooldown; use with trinkets and potion
- Convoke the Spirits (if talented) — massive burst; spam during CA/Incarn window
- Force of Nature (Keeper) — short cooldown; use on cooldown

Rotation — AoE (M+)

Stat Priority

Intellect > Critical Strike > Haste > Mastery > Versatility
- Sim your character — both Hero Talents have similar but slightly different stat profiles
- Critical Strike is valuable due to numerous crit-synergy talents

Consumables

Feral Druid

Overview

Season 1 (March 18, 2026): Significant buffs announced to Feral — increases to abilities across both Hero Trees.

Hero Talents

Druid of the Claw (recommended M+)
- Ravage triggered by auto-attacks; empowers next Ferocious Bite
- Ravage deals AoE damage; cleave potential
- More flexible option for both single-target and AoE without needing talent sacrifices
- Claw Rampage triggers Ravage during Berserk via auto-attacks

Wildstalker (recommended Raid)
- Single-target focused; much stronger boss-killing
- Must drop key talents to pick up AoE — less suited to M+
- Recommended for Mythic raiding; pure prio target focus

Apex Talent: Unseen Predator

Tiger's Fury — Core Mechanic

Rotation — Single Target

Core Priority:
1. Tiger's Fury — on cooldown; off-GCD; use before refreshing bleeds
2. Berserk / Incarnation — major cooldown; align with Tiger's Fury
3. Rake — maintain with Tiger's Fury snapshot (refresh inside TF window)
4. Rip — spend at 5 CP; maintain with Tiger's Fury snapshot
5. Ferocious Bite — spend CPs when Rip has >8s remaining (don't clip)
6. Shred — primary CP generator; use as filler

Execute Phase:
- Ferocious Bite replaces Rip as primary finisher when target is below ~25% (Bite deals more damage)

Cooldowns:
- Berserk / Incarnation (3 min) — massive burst window; generates unlimited combo points with certain talents; always pair with Tiger's Fury
- Convoke the Spirits (if talented) — burst AoE/ST; use during Berserk window
- Bloodtalons proc management — requires Rake + Thrash + Shred before applying; activates next 3 CPs as buffed; very important for optimal play

Rotation — AoE (M+, Druid of the Claw)

Stat Priority

Agility > Critical Strike > Haste > Versatility > Mastery
- Critical Strike is valuable due to Berserk and Bloodtalons interactions
- Mastery: Razor Claws increases periodic bleed damage — scales with target count

Consumables

Guardian Druid

Hero Talents

Druid of the Claw (Raid and small-pull M+)
- Excels at 3-5 targets in M+; strong single-target boss damage for Raid
- Higher single-target DPS; good for progression
- Does not scale as well at massive pull counts

Elune's Chosen (large-pull M+)
- Lunar Beam on very short cooldown — up at the start of every pull; fast threat generation
- Scales well with more targets: Moonfire spreads rapidly; self-healing ramps quickly
- Ursoc's Fury and Elune's Favored provide excellent healing at high target counts
- Best for large pull strategies

Core Mechanics

Ironfur: Short cooldown physical damage reduction; maintain stacks on big pulls and boss hits.

Frenzied Regeneration: Heal over time; spend on high damage phases; pairs with Verdant Heart for bonus healing.

Rotation

Core Priority:
1. Mangle — on cooldown; primary single-target damage and Rage generator
2. Thrash — AoE DoT maintenance; primary AoE threat; Arcane damage from Elune's Chosen
3. Moonfire — maintain on all targets; primary DoT spread
4. Ironfur — maintain at 1-2 stacks on boss; more stacks during high physical damage phases
5. Frenzied Regeneration — when healing is needed; never cap charges
6. Maul — Rage dump when above 80 Rage

Cooldowns:
- Barkskin — primary short-CD defensive; use liberally on heavy hits
- Survival Instincts — 2 charges; major defensive; use for big incoming damage
- Celestial Brew (if talented) — absorb shield for big hits
- Incarnation: Guardian of Ursoc — major offensive/defensive; massive burst phase

Stat Priority

Agility > Versatility > Critical Strike > Mastery > Haste
- Versatility provides damage reduction AND output
- Mastery: Nature's Guardian provides scaling bonus to Armor and health pool

Restoration Druid

Overview

Always take: Efflorescence, Ironbark, Tranquility, Power of the Archdruid → Grove Guardians

Hero Talents

Keeper of the Grove (flexible, recommended general use)
- Burst healing and Grove Guardians mechanic
- Every Swiftmend and Wild Growth cast increases healing and procs Grove Guardians
- Convoke the Spirits pairs perfectly: 4-5 Grove Guardians during burst phase
- More passive tree — talent points provide background power

Dreamer (alternative)
- Focuses on Lifebloom interactions
- Higher Mastery-favoring playstyle

Core Mechanics

Grove Guardians (Keeper):
- Summoned by Swiftmend or Wild Growth casts
- Convoke the Spirits casts plenty of both → 4-5 active Grove Guardians during major healing events
- Stack up Guardians before predictable high damage phases

Mastery: Harmony:
- Increases healing done by HoTs; most effective when multiple HoTs are active on target
- Encourages multi-HoT application per target during heavy damage phases

Rotation — Raid

Maintenance Phase:
1. Lifebloom — keep on main tank (2 stacks if Germination talented)
2. Rejuvenation — blanket injured targets; the foundation of all healing
3. Efflorescence — place under melee or target cluster; maintain uptime
4. Wild Growth — on cooldown for group damage events
5. Swiftmend — generates Guardians (Keeper); emergency spot heal

Burst/Cooldown Phase:
1. Convoke the Spirits — summons Guardians + Rejuvs + Wild Growths; use for predictable damage spikes
2. Incarnation: Tree of Life (alternative) — massive Rejuvenation output for 30s
3. Flourish — extends all active HoTs; use after blanketing group with Rejuv + WG
4. Tranquility — last resort mass heal; save for when group is critically low

Cooldowns:
- Ironbark — 50% reduced damage taken on target; give to player taking spike damage
- Barkskin — personal defensive; use freely
- Renewal — instant 30% HP self-heal; emergency use

Rotation — M+

Stat Priority

Intellect > Haste > Mastery > Critical Strike > Versatility
- Haste reduces cast times and increases HoT tick frequency
- Mastery amplifies all HoT healing — scales with number of HoTs active
